Ten years of companionship, and I have continuously grown
Temitayo Fakorede, an alumni of Ekiti State University, has been with Easybuy since its inception in the African market.
Growing up in western Nigeria, Temitayo felt limited by the lack of access to technology and steady income. Her life changed when she joined Easybuy as a sales agent. Through digital literacy training, she learned how to use apps, manage customer data, and help people finance devices.
Helping community neighbors improve their lives
“Easybuy didn’t just give me a job,” Temitayo recalls. “They gave me knowledge I never thought I could have. Today, I help people access smartphones for e-learning and online opportunities. I am also glad that I have been able to contribute positively to some customers lives by helping them access affordable home appliances like refrigerators, television sets, washing machines, etc.”
She stated how customers have shared their experiences purchasing refrigerators and other home appliances with Easybuy.
“I remember a customer from Northern Nigeria who had been unable to buy a fridge for many years,” says Temitayo. “She always complained that she had no way to store her food and fruits, which led to wastage. Then I enlightened her about Easybuy’s home appliance package and its flexible payment plans. She was overjoyed at the idea, and signed up to purchase a two-in-one fridge freezer. She was able to store her food items and enjoy cool drinks with her family. Today, the customer has opened an ice cube business in her area, selling ice cubes and ice blocks to consumers in her locale. Her income now supports her family, and she’s saving toward her dream of owning a small cooling van to serve her community.”
Easybuy has equipped the customer, through Temitayo to achieve their dreams and reduce economic inequalities.
