Graduates are facing difficulties finding jobs

Folajimi Emmanuel is a sales executive who hails from Lagos State, Nigeria. Folajimi comes from humble beginnings, struggling to make ends meet in a challenging economy.

The sole graduate in his family, Folajimi’s journey with Easybuy began when the company was hiring new employees in his local government.

Folajimi says, “I was in dire straits and in need of a job. Bills were piling up, costs of goods were rising, and my family was in need. As a fresh university graduate without a lot of experience, getting a job was a bit challenging.”

Easybuy has pointed me in the right direction for my development

Determined to improve his standard of living, Folajimi saw an Easybuy sales team providing smart devices to the underserved in his community. The sales team’s words, their confidence, and their ability to connect with people sparked something in Folajimi. He saw a path forward and a way to use his educational skills for conversation.

He started small, selling recharge cards to his friends and acquaintances. He learned the rhythm of sales, the triumphs, the art of persistence. He studied customer behavior and practiced different pitches. Folajimi gained confidence and applied for an Easybuy sales entry level position. His hard work paid off, and he was offered the job.

He underwent further training with Easybuy and quickly became a valued sales agent in his area, developing his interpersonal and sales skills whilst gaining the experience he once sought.
